EAST LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State University quarterback Payton Thorne was named the Big Ten’s co-offensive player of the week yesterday.
The red-shirt sophomore completed 18 of his 31 pass attempts for 261 yards and four touchdowns in the Spartans 38-17 win over Miami.
Thorne has passed for four touchdowns in back-to-back games, and will look to keep that streak going when Michigan State hosts Nebraska this Saturday.
