CENTREVILLE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Former rock star and Michigan native Ted Nugent made more than a few waves at a constitution day event in Centreville on Friday, September 17.
The rally, attended by nearly one hundred people from the Centreville area, also featured a long list of Republican speakers along with gun rights activists.
But things briefly got out of hand when Nugent called Black Lives Matter a terrorist organization, which prompted a response from from Centreville resident Jalen Brown. In an interview with WWMT, Brown said he was hoping to not have to get involved at all, but then felt compelled to take the rock star to task.
“I was just hoping to stand in the back and not do anything, just keep my mask on and, not do anything, but as soon as he said Black Lives Matter was a terrorist organization, I took that personally,” said Brown.
The event concluded around 7 p.m. and featured speeches from several Republican candidates for state office.
