BEIJING (Reuters) – China’s Ministry of Finance on Thursday said it would extend a tariff exemption for 81 products imported from the United States, including some shrimp and electric vehicle batteries, until April 16, 2022.
The items had received exemptions from retaliatory tariffs imposed by China on U.S. goods as countermeasures to U.S. Section 301 action in 2019, the ministry said, adding that the exemptions had been due to expire on Thursday.
