LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – More Michigan rest stops in the west/southwest area are being closed in September for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) made the announcement Tuesday.
- The Fruitport/Nunica Rest Area on westbound I-96 in Ottawa County will be closed Monday, Sept. 20 through Monday, Oct. 4.
- The Big Rapids Rest Area on southbound US-131 in Mecosta County will be closed Wednesday, Sept. 22 through Wednesday, Oct. 6.
- The Morley Rest Area on northbound US-131 in Montcalm County will be closed Wednesday, Sept. 22 through Wednesday, Oct. 6.
ADA improvements will be made at the New Buffalo Welcome Center on eastbound I-94 in Berrien County from Tuesday, September 28, through Monday, November 1, but the facility will remain open.
