HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland’s annual fireworks — rescheduled from the Fourth of July — are set for Friday at dusk over Lake Macatawa, in front of Holland’s Kollen Park.
Food vendors similar to those found during Tulip Time will be ready at Kollen Park starting Friday afternoon, Aug. 20, 2021.
The Blue Water Kings band bluewaterkingsband.com will be performing in the bandshell between 6:30 and 8:30 Friday night, with a 7-to-9 piece band.
People should expect to bring their own chairs or blankets. Alcohol is not allowed in Kollen Park.
The current National Weather Service outlook for Friday is sunny and 85 degrees, but should rain happen, the back-up date is Saturday Aug. 21.
The Macatawa Area Coordinating Council sponsors this event.
The fireworks land in the midst of a busy weekend in and around downtown Holland, with the Street Performers Block Party in the north parking lot near the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place on Thursday (Aug. 19, 2021), from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, and the International Festival of Holland on Saturday (Aug. 21, 2021) at the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place. In the video above, Linda Hart of the Holland Area Visitors Bureau talked about the three events and more during her weekly “Destination Downtown” segment on “WHTC Morning News.”
