ALLEN PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Lions begin training camp today with a practice at their Allen Park facility.
General Manager Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell are in place for their first season with the team, while Jared Goff takes over under center for Matthew Stafford.
Practice will be open to the public this year, beginning with a session for season ticket holders Sunday.
The Lions claimed defensive tackle Bruce Hector off waivers hours after DT Brian Price was placed on the reserve retired list. Hector was signed in April by Tennessee and previously played in 11 games for Philadelphia in 2018-19.
Price joined Detroit last month to help replace Joel Heath who will miss the season with an ACL injury.
