LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The lack of available employees for businesses across not only West Michigan, but the entire state, has called for the end of the unemployment incentive…but that may not be the only reason workers are reluctant to return.
A definitive lack of adequate day care facilities is also a contributing factor, as parents wanting a return to the workforce have no place for their young children to go.
Between those daycare centers that are open but are full, some with waiting lists, and those centers that cannot find qualified workers, parents looking to find daycare are discovering the need far outweighs the number of slots open.
