EAST LANSING, MI — A government watchdog is hammering FBI investigators who looked into allegations against disgraced Michigan State University and USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar.
The Justice Department’s inspector general said in a report the FBI’s Indianapolis office failed to quickly address accusations of sexual abuse. The watchdog argued they “failed to respond” to the allegations with “the utmost seriousness and urgency” required.
More than 300 women and girls accused Nassar of sexual abuse, including Olympian Simone Biles. He’s expected to spend the rest of his life in prison.
