GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Grand Rapids Drive will now be known as the Gold.
The Drive had been the Pistons G League affiliate, but last year Detroit acquired a franchise from the Phoenix Suns and renamed that team the Motor City Cruise. The Cruise will begin play this year on the Wayne State University campus.
Grand Rapids has a new agreement with the Denver Nuggets and will remain in Grand Rapids.
