JACKSON, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Retired Detroit Police Chief James Craig is not yet running for the Republican nomination for governor but took his first steps toward that last night.
He addressed the Jackson County GOP, discussing his transition from being a Democrat to a Republican, what he believes, and his support of Donald Trump in both 2016 and 2020. Craig says he is anti-abortion and supports gun rights along with the police, the military and the principle of self-reliance rather than a “victimhood mentality” being pushed by Democratic leaders.
Craig also criticized the leadership style of Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer along with Congresswomen Maxine Waters and Rashida Tlaib.
