DETROIT (WKZO-AM/FM) – The American League Central-leading Chicago White Sox hammered the Detroit Tigers 8-2 in the opener of a 3-game series at Comerica Park. It was the fifth straight victory for the Sox and ninth win in eleven games against the Tigers this season.
Tiger starter Casey Mize was limited to 3 innings of work and gave up 2 runs on 4 hits.
