JACKSON, MI — A man and a woman charged with killing a man in a botched drug deal and robbery will get separate trials in Jackson County.
Raheim Armstrong and Prettattie Cooper are each facing an open murder charge for the death of Ronald Owens in October 2017. Attorney Andrew Kirkpatrick says he will argue Cooper was under duress when she drove Armstrong to and from the scene. He adds he plans to be “very unpleasant” to Armstrong.
Trial dates for the pair are expected to be set in the coming weeks.
