DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Tests confirmed that Detroit Tigers pitcher Michael Fulmer has a neck injury called a right cervical spine strain.
Manager A.J. Hinch said it was a good sign that it did not affect his shoulder. Fulmer was placed on the 10-day injury list after reporting discomfort following his appearance against Houston Saturday.
Detroit called up lefty Miguel Del Pozo from Triple-A Toledo to take his place in the bullpen.
