Authorities are trying to locate a woman who was traveling from Chicago to Canada and was last heard from in Kalamazoo.
28-year-old Valerie Villegas had called her mother on Saturday, June 26 at the Circle K store located at 4117 Portage St.. She said she needed help and had no money, car, or phone. Valerie was believed to be wearing a pink shirt with a black sweater tied around her waist when she was last seen.
It’s possible that Valerie was spotted on Monday, June 28. At around 6:00 p.m., a person said they saw a woman matching her description at a Marathon gas station near Portage St. and Bryant St.. She apparently got into a blue vehicle with a heavy-set man who has not been identified (pictured here).
She is described as Latino, 5’6″ tall weighing about 125 pounds. She has brown hair with blonde highlights, brown eyes, and is thin with a curvy build. We have a photo posted on our website.
