HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Allegan County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a non-fatal shooting, according to Allegan County Undersheriff Mike Larsen.
Police responded to the call for help from the 4300 block of 147th Ave. in Overisel Township, just after midnight Thursday, June 24, 2021.
Deputies found a woman who’d been shot with a B-B gun. The man who’d shot her had fled the scene.
Larsen said police have identified him, and while he’s not in custody at this time, there is no threat to public safety.”
The two parties had a domestic relationship, Larsen said, and had been arguing.
The shooting victim refused medical treatment at the scene, but indicated to police she would get medical care on her own.
The investigation remains underway.
