DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers were idle Monday. They open up a two game series against the St. Louis Cardinals tonight at Comerica Park.
The second game of the series will be played Wednesday afternoon. Detroit is 30-42 on the season, with St. Louis at 36-36.
St. Louis sends Johan Oviedo to the mound against Detroit’s Tarik Skubal tonight. Oviedo is still searching for his first big league win. The opening pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
After the Cardinals leave town, the Tigers will host Houston for a four game series starting Thursday night.
