CHICAGO (WKZO-AM/FM) – Yermin Mercedes’s walk-off single in the 9th inning off losing pitcher José Cisnero brought home Yoan Moncada and capped off a wild 9-8 win for the White Sox over the visiting Tigers in the second game of a four-game series.
Detroit came back from a 7-2 deficit with 6 runs in the 7th. Jonathan Schoop smacked 2 homers and a double and drove in 5 runs total, while Eric Haase also went deep.
Tigers starter Spencer Turnbull was pulled from the game after the fourth inning due to tightness in his right forearm; he is scheduled to undergo additional tests today.
