CHICAGO, IL (WKZO AM/FM) – Four different players hit home runs as the White Sox beat the Detroit Tigers 4-1 in Chicago Thursday night.
Yoan Moncada homered in his first at-bat to give the White Sox an early lead. Tim Anderson went 2-for-4, hitting a home run in the eighth inning for Chicago, which has won six of its last eight. Yasmani Grandal and Jake Lamb also had solo home runs.
Lance Lynn earned his seventh win after pitching six innings of one-run ball.
Casey Mize took home his fourth loss, despite seven innings pitched and only three runs allowed. Willi Castro scored the only run for Detroit via the long ball in the fifth.
Spencer Turnbull takes the mound for the Tigers tonight, while the White Sox counter with Dallas Keuchel. The opening pitch is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. EDT.
