Anita “Nita” Branderhorst Dyke went to her heavenly home on May 26, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Sally; her husband Harold Branderhorst and her husband Howard Dyke; all of her siblings: Edward Smith, Marvina Bolt, Irvin Smith, Vera Pullen, and Beatrice Smith.

Anita is survived by her five Branderhorst sons and their wives: Thomas and Cindy (Crocoll), Timothy and Christa, Terrance and Christine, Todd, and Tracy and Jan. She has 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Anita had two stepchildren, Roger and Nancy Dyke, and Kathy and her husband Ken Westveld. She had two step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

Anita lived a full life and loved to shop and also to entertain her extended family. She was the first female school bus driver for West Ottawa Schools and prided herself by knowing all of the students by name who rode her bus. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

A special thank you to America House and also Holland Hospice for the excellent care and attention that they showed to Anita during her stay with them.

Services will be provided by the Rev. James Baar on Saturday, May 29th at Lakeshore Memorial, 11939 James Street in Holland. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to Holland Hospice.
