CHICAGO, IL (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers lost both games of a doubleheader to the White Sox in Chicago yesterday.
Chicago beat Detroit 3-1 in the first game, then shutout the Tigers 11-0 in the nightcap.
Game two starter Matthew Boyd left in the second inning with what the team is calling left knee tendinitis. The second game of the doubleheader was delayed over an hour because of rain in Chicago.
Detroit continues a nine-game road trip with a three-game weekend set against the Yankees in New York starting tonight.
