DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Snow prevented the Detroit Tigers and Pittsburgh Pirates from playing the opening game of their three-game series in Detroit Tuesday night.
The two teams will meet in a day/night doubleheader today, with both games seven innings. Michael Fulmer is scheduled to start the first game for Detroit (2:10 p.m.) and Spencer Turnbull will get the start in the nightcap (6:40 p.m.)
Talks for a new collective bargaining agreement are underway in Major League Baseball. ESPN reports the league and Players’ Association met yesterday for their first official negotiating session. Neither side commented on the meeting.
The current CBA expires December 1, 2021.
