BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Battle Creek Public Schools Board of Education voted Monday to have all students in the district shift to remote instruction until Friday, April 23.
The action was in response to the continued spread of COVID-19 in Calhoun County. It affects all BCPS students in grades pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
There will be no in-person classes Tuesday as teachers prepare for the shift to remote learning which will begin Wednesday.
Meal pickup will be available at each of the B.C.P.S. buildings on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and at Battle Creek Central High School from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m..
All in-person athletics practices and games as well as after school and extracurricular programming will be postponed from April 13 to at least April 26.
The Century 21 program will offer remote programming following the same system as the first semester.
Students enrolled at Calhoun Area Career Center will have their absences justified during this time period.
