LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Michigan health officials reported 4,670 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, March 27th, bringing the statewide total to 652,569 people that have contracted the virus.
State health leaders also reported 22 more deaths making a total of 16,026 people that have have died from COVID-19 in Michigan as of March 27th.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, the United States has seen 30,199,868 cases and 548,664 deaths. Worldwide, 126,456,051 people have contracted the disease, and 2,771,812 have died.
As of Friday, March 26, a total of 569,460 people in Michigan had recovered from the virus.
