UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM) – One Lakeshore team has already earned a MHSAA boys tournament district title, and there may be as many as three others by the time Saturday night ends.
Calvary secured a berth in a regional semifinal at Niles next Tuesday by edging Muskegon Catholic Central in a district final at Fruitport Calvary on Thursday night, 44-42.
In district semifinal action: In overtime, West Ottawa 42, Hudsonville 39; Zeeland East 61, Zeeland West 27; Holland Christian 68, Coloma 55; and Fennville 67, Saugatuck 38. On Saturday evening at 6:40 PM, catch the West Ottawa at Zeeland East game on 99 7/1450 WHTC, or the Covenant Christian-Fennville contest on The Lakeshore’s 92 7 The Van. Also on Saturday night, Holland Christian faces Benton Harbor in Coloma.
On Friday evening, Hamilton takes on West Catholic in a state girls’ basketball district final at Coopersville.

Spring Training baseball on Thursday: The Detroit Tigers played a 3-3 tie with the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Chicago White Sox beat the Cincinnati Reds, 9-4.
