LAKELAND, FL (WKZO AM/FM) – Zack Short smacked a tie breaking three-run homer in the eighth inning and the Detroit Tigers went on to beat the Baltimore Oriole 5-1 in Lakeland Sunday.
Akil Baddoo tacked on a solo shot for insurance. Spencer Turnbull pitched four innings of one-run ball.
The Tigers welcome the Toronto Blue Jays today. Both teams are 7-6 so far in the Grapefruit League.
