HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 4-year-old boy drowned near Mista Drive and 64th Avenue in Allendale Township, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Lt. J. Douglas.
Emergency responders were dispatched just before 3:30 Saturday, March 13, 2021. While police were enroute, Douglas said, family members looking for the boy found him in a small pond and began CPR.
Douglas indicated the boy was rushed to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and later died. The incident remains under investigation by Ottawa County Sheriff’s authorities, according to Douglas.
Allendale Township firefighters and Life EMS responded to the scene.
