DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Pistons enjoy a few more days before their next game. The return from the All-Star break Thursday to begin the second half of the season against the Hornets in Charlotte.
Detroit has lost seven of its last nine games to fall to 10-and-26. The season ends on May 16th.
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 35 points to lead Team LeBron to a 170-150 win over Team Durant in the NBA All-Star Game in Atlanta. He shot 16-of-16 from the field to take home MVP honors. Bradley Beal led Team Durant with 26 points.
Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons is this year’s NBA Slam Dunk champion. He defeated Indiana Pacers guard Cassius Stanley and New York Knicks forward Obi Toppin during halftime of Sunday’s All-Star Game in Atlanta. Simons beat Toppin 3-2 in the final.
Golden State star Steph Curry is the winner of the NBA’s 3-Point Contest. The Warriors guard beat Utah Jazz guard Mike Conley in the final round before Sunday’s All-Star Game in Atlanta. It was Curry’s second career win. Conley was filling in for injured Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker.
