RALEIGH, NC (WKZO AM/FM) – The Carolina Hurricanes scored three goals in the third period to beat the Detroit Red Wings 5-2 last night.
Filip Zadina scored both goals for Detroit. Evgeny Svechnikov had an assist for the Red Wings in his first game against his brother, Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov .
Detroit opens a six-game home stand Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
