ALBION, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Authorities in Calhoun County are searching for a missing baby who may be in danger after her mother did not surrender her over to Child Protective Services.
Investigators are trying to locate 26-year-old Jakayla Shibrea Atchison of Albion and her 5-week-old daughter Samira Blackmon. Atchison is described as an African American, around 5′ 2″ tall and weighing 110 pounds. She had bright red shoulder-length hair in a recent photo.
She was last seen with the baby Thursday evening. Atchison is believed to be driving a sliver 2021 Toyota Camry with Ohio license plate number H-R-U-5-8-6-9.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Calhoun County Central Dispatch.
