PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Officials in Portage and at the Pfizer plant there are continuing to prepare for a visit from President Joe Biden this week.
He is expected to come to the area on Thursday, which will also be his first visit to Michigan as President. It is unknown who could accompany Biden to Pfizer’s plant while he visits with employees producing the COVID-19 vaccine, or if Governor Whitmer could possibly join him.
Last week, Biden announced that the U.S. will secure 600 million doses of the vaccine by July, and that they would come from both Pfizer and Moderna.
More information about the President’s visit will be announced in the the next couple of days. We will provide that information and will have complete coverage of the President’s visit on Thursday.
