SHELBY COUNTY, IN (WHTC-AM/FM) — Frederick Dewon Charles, 36 of Grand Rapids, is in a Shelby County, Indiana, jail facing 21 charges after an incident on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021.
Police say Charles shot up at least five vehicles, then led police on a chase that went through farm fields before police were able to get stop sticks deployed and arrrested him without incident. No one was hurt during this incident southeast of Indianapolis.
The happened in the 6000 block of State Road 44, according to WTHR-TV.
Charles is being held on a $1 million bond.
