Shane Russell, age 46 of Zeeland, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 after a short struggle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lecia; his daughters: Brianna and her fiancé Jake Pledger, and Jordyn; his mother Penny (Bill) Mears; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Dianna (Jerry) Rodanhisler, Paul (Laura) Commons, Philip (Linda) Commons, Carl (Michelle) Commons, and nieces, nephews and friends.
Shane was preceded in death by his father Steven Russell, his brothers: Heath and Chad; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Joyce Commons; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jan and Louie Kerber.
Shane was born in Union City and graduated from Zeeland High School in 1992. He started working at Sluiter Corp right out of high school, a few years later he started his own construction company, TNR Construction, and later became a partner at Intext Concepts.
Shane loved to golf, he was always the life of the party and willing to help out his family and friends.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 East 16th Street, Holland (face masks required and limited number of visitors at one time). The funeral service will be 11am Friday, January 29, 2021 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 480 152nd Street, Holland. Interment will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
