Health department staff, volunteers get vaccinated in preparation for vaccinating others. The first round of COVID-19 vaccines begin this week. County health department staff prepared ahead of time by getting their own first-dose of the shots.
Tantrick Brewing Co. announces downtown Allegan facility. Owners Tanya Schafer and Patrick Westover are moving their three-year-old microbrewery, Tantrick Brewing Co., into downtown Allegan. They are renovating the former Long Branch Saloon into a taproom and restaurant.
Lakewood Farm and Zoo – Holland’s first big attraction gets historic designation. Lakewood Farm & Zoo, also known as Getz Farm, on Holland’s Northside, achieved regional notoriety at the beginning of the 20th century when it became one of the largest private zoos in the nation. Now, the National Park Service has added it to the National Registry of Historic Places.

On Martin Luther King Day, Jan. 18, check back with the Museum for a list of MLK-related activities that day. Depending on COVID-19 restrictions, they could be virtual, in-person, or a mix of both.
