HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Zeeland Republican U-S Representative Bill Huizenga will host a telephone town hall at 6:05 tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, for his Second Congressional District constituents.
People who haven’t already registered to get on the call, can listen online — and type in questions, though there’s no guarantee they’ll be answered.
In a note to media, Huizenga’s spokesman wrote the “conversation will revolve around the electoral college certification vote in Congress that takes place on January 6th, potential challenges to electors, and questions regarding election integrity in Michigan.”
Huizenga indicated he will not take media questions during the telephone town hall, which can be livestreamed at huizenga.house.gov/live
After St. Joseph Republican Rep. Fred Upton yesterday indicated he’ll vote to certify the results of the November presidential election. WHTC posed the question in writing to Rep. Huizenga on Monday, Jan. 4, but has not gotten a response as of early Tuesday. Huizenga told other media outlets he will vote for certification of the Electoral College results and he expects President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris to be inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2021.
