LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan High School Athletic Association has made a formal request to Governor Whitmer and other state officials to allow the resumption of girls’ swimming, volleyball, and football, effective December 9th.
The MHSAA’s request outlined the plan to complete the seasons for all three sports in December, and addressed issues surrounding the sports and the pandemic.
Officials with the MHSAA say that they are more than willing to work with the state on insuring safety of the student-athletes, including no spectators at all at any events.
If allowed to resume, the three sports would complete their post-season contests throughout this month.
