HOLLAND (WKZO AM/FM) – An Ottawa County pastor is recommending his church members to get COVID-19 and “get it over with”.
WWMT reports that the Rev. Bart Spencer, of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Holland, told his congregation that several people have gotten the virus, none have died yet, “it’s all good”.
Spencer later defended his remarks, saying he believes in herd immunity.
Ottawa County health officials warned residents that Spencer could not be more wrong, and that wearing masks and continuing social distancing is the best way to avoid getting the virus.
