DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The University of Detroit Mercy will not tip off their season in Kentucky tomorrow due to a positive Covid-19 test in the basketball program.
School officials say the positive test is from a member of a support staff and the individual does not have any symptoms and is in quarantine. No student-athletes or coaches have tested positive for the virus.
The Titans were scheduled to open the 2020 season in Lexington against Richmond tomorrow then play Kentucky on Friday. UDM hopes to make up the games at a later date.
