ALLEN PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford did not participate in practice yesterday due to an injury to his throwing hand. Stafford said he will take it day-by-day and hopes to practice at some point this week.
Wide receiver Danny Amendola, defensive end Austin Bryant and wide receiver Marvin Jones junior were also sidelined during drills due to injuries. Wide receiver Kenny Golladay returned to practice, but was limited, after missing the past couple of weeks with a hip injury.
Lions kicker Matt Prater has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. He made three field goals in Detroit’s 30-27 win over Washington on Sunday, including one from 59-yards to win the game as time expired.
