The Dallas Stars re-signed center Roope Hintz to a three-year, $9.45 million contract through the 2022-23 season.
The team announced the deal with the restricted free agent on Monday.
Hintz tied for second on the Stars with a career-high 19 goals in 2019-20. He also set career highs with 14 assists, 33 points and 60 games played. He added 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) in 25 playoff games.
Hintz led the team with two shorthanded goals and ranked second with five game-winning goals.
The Finland native, who turns 24 on Nov. 17, has 55 points (28 goals, 27 assists) in 118 career games. Dallas selected him in the second round of the 2015 draft.
