AKRON, OH (WKZO AM/FM) – It has taken a while, but the Western Michigan University football team kicks off its 115th season on WednesdayAkron. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m.
The Mid American Conference was the first major conference to cancel their fall season, but that was later reinstated.
In 2019, the Broncos went 7-6 overall and 5-3 in MAC play. For the second straight year the Broncos earned a bowl bid but fell in to
Western Kentucky, 23-20, in the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl.
Also in the MAC tonight, Eastern Michigan University plays at Kent State, while Central Michigan University hosts Ohio University in Mt. Pleasant.
