HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Two persons were wounded in an apparent shooting overnight on Sunday outside of an establishment on Holland’s North Side.
According to Ottawa County Sheriffs Sergeant Matthew Wildfong, deputies were dispatched to the Hookah Lounge off of Butternut Drive around 3 AM on a report of an altercation with possible gunshots. They found a 29-year-old man inside with a non-life threatening gunshot wound, and the victim was taken to an undisclosed medical facility for treatment.
While deputies were at the scene, they were told that a second person, a 34-year-old Chicago man, admitted himself to an unnamed medical facility with a non-life threatening gunshot wound, apparently from this same incident.
An initial investigation revealed that a fight had broken out among three women inside of the establishment, which then spilled out outside to the parking lot, where the gunshots apparently rang out.
An unknown assailant is being sought, and anyone with any information on this incident is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer.
