ALLEN PARK, MI (WTVB) – Safety Jayron Kearse could make his Detroit Lions debut against the New Orleans Saints Sunday.
Kearse was suspended for the first three games of the season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Defensive coordinator Cory Undlin said Kearse may not be in top game shape after missing three weeks, but they’re taking it a day at a time in determining his role moving forward.
He spent the first four years of his NFL career with Minnesota and was signed by Detroit in March to a one-year contract.
The Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings have suspended in-person club activities after three Tennessee players and five personnel officials tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Vikings, who fell to the visiting Titans 31-30 on Sunday, have not received any positive results from testing following the game.
Tennessee is suspending activities through Friday, which could lead to this weekend’s home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers being postponed. Minnesota is scheduled to visit the Houston Texans.
