WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are scheduled to speak on Tuesday about coronavirus relief legislation as talks to reach a compromise measure continue, White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said.
In an interview with CNBC, Kudlow said Mnuchin, the administration’s top negotiator, and Pelosi, the top Democrat in Congress, had spoken several times over the past few days to try to bridge gaps between Republican and Democratic views on what should be contained in another round of coronavirus economic relief.
