UPDATE – Mid-American officials concluded their meeting Saturday with no decision made on whether the conference would resume fall football.
The possibility of resuming football had come about due to other conferences, including the Big 10, announcing that they would begin play of abbreviated seasons.
A spokesperson for the MAC said that talks regarding resumptions would continue this coming week.
A 6 or 8 game season could be played, with the title game to be played at Ford Field.
CLEVELAND, OH (WTVB) – Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, and Western Michigan University may return to the field as the Mid-American Conference considers a fall football season.
According to the Detroit News, conference officials are looking into playing an eight-game schedule.
In early August the MAC became the first FBS conference to postpone all fall sports.
Earlier this week, the Big Ten Conference announced the football season would begin next month and the Pac-12 and Mountain West are also considering reinstating fall football.
