CANTON, OH (WTVB) – Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson is among 130 players to be nominated for the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2021.
Johnson spent his entire career with Detroit after he was the second overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft out of Georgia Tech. He was a six-time Pro-Bowl selection and named as an All-Pro three times. Johnson totaled 11,619 yards on 731 receptions with 83 touchdowns in 135 games.
He joins former University of Michigan defensive back Charles Woodson and 12 others in their first year of eligibility.
The list of nominees will be reduced to 25 semifinalists in November and 15 finalists in January.
