CROCKERY TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 44-year-old Grand Haven woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash between Nunica and Coopersville on Saturday afternoon.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Christie Wendt didn’t immediately disclose any names as she and other first responders were dispatched to M-104 Cleveland Street east of M-231 just after 2 PM. It was determined that the injured woman was driving an eastbound SUV in the right lane when a westbound sedan that was turning left into a convenience store went directly into the path of the SUV, causing a collision.
The injured woman was taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital in Grand Haven for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The sedan driver, a 57-year-old Nunica man, was not hurt, but was “cited for failing to yield the right of way,” according to Wendt, who added that the crash remains under investigation.
