DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit Tigers Tuesday placed first baseman C.J. Cron on the 10-day injured list with a left knee sprain.
Cron was injured after taking a grounder off his knee in Monday’s win over the Chicago White Sox. He was helped off the field and did not return to the game.
Detroit called up infielder Willi Castro from the Toledo training site to fill the roster spot.
