HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A suspect is sought in an overnight burglary of a Hudsonville jeweler.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Captain Jake Sparks, a man entered the Jensen Jewelers store off of Kelly Street in the downtown district around 4 AM, smashed a glass display case inside, and made off with several items of jewelry and precious items before fleeing the scene on foot. Surveillance video showed the suspect entering the building and subsequently running away, and a canine unit from the Holland Department of Public Safety was only able to track the man a short distance before losing the scent.
No dollar amount of loss was immediately determined. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer.
