SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) — South Haven Area Emergency Services responders doused a fire that destroyed a garage and damaged adjoining homes in the 400 block of Fruit Street in South Haven early Sunday, July 12, 2020.
A South Haven Police officer discovered the fire while on patrol. SHAES, called to the scene at 6:25 a.m., found the garage fully aflame. Firefighters were able to protect nearby homes, though there was heat damage to siding. The elderly resident was not at home, according to relatives.
The fire’s cause is under investigation, according to fire authorities.
