HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) –A 79-year-old Byron Center woman was hospitalized after a three-vehicle traffic crash in Georgetown Township, which happened just before 10 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2020.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call for help, at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and Jackson Street.
Police learned an 18-year-old Hudsonville woman, driving a 2009 Ford Escape west on Jackson, ran a stop sign at Eighth.
The Escape collied with the Byron Center woman’s southbound 2015 Toyota.
The Toyota then crashed into a 2007 Chevrolet pickup, being driven by a 26-year-old Grandville resident which had been stopped at the eastbound stop sign on Eighth.
The Byron Center woman went by ambulance to Spectrum Health Butterworth with what police called non-life-threatening injuries. The Hudsonville woman was ticketed for a stop sign violation, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nicholas Knott.
